The sixteenth session of the High Studies for Security and Defence met for its second seminar on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October at the Prince Albert Club. The title of the seminar was “Key Factors and Trends”. After an initial presentation on security as such, the seminar addressed the influences of the economy, energy, new technologies, climate change and migration phenomena on security in the broadest sense of the term. The role of space as a new theatre of balance of powers was also the subject of a conference. Finally, the participants were able to discuss in groups the paradigm shifts that all these developments entail for our security and resilience.
