Although 2023 emerges under the sign of the persistent war in Ukraine, it also promises to be a sulphurous one in the Middle East, a region in the grip of powerful geopolitical rearrangements. Among the many developments that will need to be closely monitored, one potential crisis-generating event stands out in this very month of May: the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel.
