The closing academic session of the 15th session (2019-2020) of the High Studies on Security and Defence (HSSD) took place on 14 October in the Conference Centre of the Campus Renaissance. Due to the applicable sanitary precautionary measures, it was quite a challenge to organise the ceremony for the 28 new Alumni.

The guest speaker, H.E. Staffan de Mistura (former Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General in various crisis areas, former Under Secretary-General of the UN, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy) gave a fascinating lecture about his experiences at the UNO.

Several military and civil authorities attended the ceremony, as well as the Director General of the Egmont Institute and the Secretary General of the HSSD Alumni Association.
