On 20 February 2025, the von Karman Institute (VKI) had the honour of welcoming the board of directors of the Royal Higher Institute for Defence .
The members had the opportunity to visit VKI’s world-class facilities and witness firsthand the cutting-edge research and innovation taking place on their premises.

In December 2024, VKI proudly signed a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Defence to strengthen the Belgian Defence Technological and Industrial Base (BITD – DTIB). This highly significant agreement enhances cooperation between the Ministry of Defence, the RHID and VKI in the technological and industrial field.
