The sixteenth session of the High Studies for Security and Defence began this Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September with a first seminar at the Prince Albert Club. This is the new venue chosen for this year’s seminars, given the impossibility of holding them at the Renaissance Campus as in previous years due to the COVID-19 crisis. This first seminar gave the participants an introduction to Belgian security and defence policy and an opportunity to discuss the foundations of international relations. In spite of the obligation of social distancing and the constraint of being divided into small groups, thus limiting contact between them, they could appreciate the diversity and the wealth of skills and experience present in the group. The first feedback at the end of the seminar was unanimously positive, which bodes well for the future.
